So You Want a Tour, Eh?

by brandt

This week has been one exhausting week.  I mentioned previously how I made a huge mistake by going cheap and NOT renting a U-Haul.  I also made the mistake of not being on my “A” game and getting the power turned on, which put us way behind the 8-ball as far as moving into our house was concerned.  Well, we’ve been living in 2 worlds this past week.  Like a super-spy, a la Arnold Schwarzenegger in “True Lies.”  Or Hannah Montana.  Anyways, we’ve had half of our stuff in our house, half in our apartment, and this past week literally every single night we’ve been moving stuff.  We usually get home from work between 5:00 and 5:30, and haven’t collapsed into bed exhausted until 11:30-12:00 at night.  We both work, so we’re up at about 6:00 AM, so it’s been a long week.

But we made huge strides, and are finally ready to turn the page on that chapter of our lives.  Last night we finally got the rest of the apartment packed up and cleaned out.  If you look in our garage, we literally have our entire life in there.  It was such a relief to finally close the door on that place for the last time last night and know that if we needed anything, it was all inside our house.  Today, after we get off work, we’ll be turning in the keys, and then the real fun begins – UNPACKING.

But I do feel guilty.  I’ve received a lot of requests for pictures and a house tour, and while I’ve got the pictures snapped, I haven’t had the time to upload.  So instead, I hope you’ll accept a VIDEO TOUR by the one and only Ashley.

That’s right.  You get VIDEO + ASHLEY.  That’s like getting Pizza and Breadsticks.  Hamburgers and French Fries.  Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup!  The best things in life come in twos, and be prepared – she has quirky one-liners that will catch you off guard.

She also wants me to apologize for the jumbling of the camera.  If you get sick, please use your trash receptacle for evacuation of your stomach.  I’m sure your employer/husband/wife/child won’t appreciate the stickiness and smell of “evacuation” on the computer monitor.

  1. I am sooooo loving the molding in the dining room. I have wainscoting in my dining room, which I also love, but I love the box molding (uh, can’t remember its name right now). And the crown molding looks amazing! (Jared doesn’t understand why I like crown molding.)

  2. Very very nice :o) and in great shape to boot! I can’t wait to see what you are going to do to make it yours!

  3. Very nice! I love your master, and am actually kind of digging the purple in that first guest bedroom you showed. Am I crazy? 😉
